Is there a catch to a free listing?

Yes. A listing is free, no company can buy a better position, and the order on every list comes from a published formula with no advertising slot anywhere on the site. What we are building on top of that is a paid route for work we pass on, which is a separate thing you would have to agree to; nothing is charged to you for simply being in the index.

How do people reach me?

Not yet. The site now runs a request form, and what a homeowner sends reaches SaunaIndex by email. Nothing has been passed to any company from this site so far, and we will not start sending work to you without agreeing it with you first.

Am I listed in the right category?

We read your own website before deciding, because the categories are not interchangeable. A showroom selling kits, heaters and tubs is listed as a retailer. A company that builds or fits saunas is listed as an installer. A company that services existing units is listed under repair. If we have put you in the wrong one, that is a correction request and we will fix it, since describing a shop as a contractor helps nobody, least of all the shop.

What does claiming my profile change?

A claimed profile shows the details you control: your service list, photos, service areas and contact information, as you supply them. Unclaimed profiles show only public data. Claiming does not move you up the rankings and never will, but an accurate profile does turn more visits into calls.

No, and that is the point. Rankings come from one score out of 100 with three parts: a company's Google reviews, what its own website states about it, and how complete its record is. Profiles are built from public sources as of our August 2026 dataset, so occasionally a phone number, category or service area needs an update. How does SaunaIndex work for a business?

1. You get listed free

Every eligible business already has a basic profile built from public Google Maps data and its own website. Claiming it costs nothing, and there is nothing to buy.

2. People find you

Category and area pages rank you on a published score out of 100 built from your Google reviews, what your own website states about your business, and how complete your record is. You appear in the category that matches what you actually do.

3. The homeowner sends a request

Your profile carries a request form rather than a phone number. What comes in reaches SaunaIndex by email. Nothing has been sent on to any company from this site, and we would not start without agreeing it with you first.

Why claim your profile?

Unclaimed profiles show only public data. A claimed profile shows what you want people to see: your full service list, photos, the areas you actually cover and the right contact details, as you supply them. It will not move you up the rankings, and we would not sell you that if you asked. It will stop you losing calls to a wrong phone number.
